Effects of various plant growth regulators and sowing methods on the growth, yield and quality of rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Rice (Oryza sativa L) is an important source of food, as the population world increasing additional supply rice requisite to feed population. Moringa leaf extract, salicylic acid and zinc sulphate are excellent growth regulators used worldwide. A field experiment was conducted on at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. Fine (super basmati) sown by two methods (S1= transplanting method S2= direct-seeded rice) supplied with three G1= moringa extract (30 times diluted), G2= (50 mg per liter) G3= g foliar applications G0devised control treatment. Foliar application respective treatments done stages (before after flowering). Data regarding (crop rate, photosynthetic rate stomatal conductance), yield (number grains panicle, thousand weight, grain yield, biological harvest index) quality (normal kernel, sterile amylose contents, protein contents brown rate) were studied.
